Kanako Abe – conductor

Kanako Abe began her career as a pianist, and her record dedicated to Toru Takemitsu was acclaimed by critics. She made her debut as conductor in 2003. She regularly conducts the Ensemble l’Itinéraire, L’Ensemble Zellig, Le Smash Ensemble, Tokyo Ensemnable Factory. She played at the October Festival in Normandy, the Venice Biennale, the GMEM Festival in Marseille and the Musica Festival. She founded the Multilateral Ensemble, and was its musical director from 2005 to 2014.
